The monument consists of several, different creations, all built-in to one composition. The artist of this amazing piece of art is Edgardo Castrillo. He began working on it in 1997 and finished the monument in 2000 (December 8th).

The monument is made to reveal the main events that occurred in the history of Cebu. It is possible to see all main events in a single picture. You will need a brochure to understand a few of the events, so get one in a local store.
